The Scorpio

Went to BBJ at Raby Tavern. Bun was good, chicken was well cooked, crispy and juicy. A bit under seasoned. Also had chicken wings, they were fried, but not crispy at all. Wait time was over an hour.

Some of the best spicing on a chicken I have reviewed so far. Must have the colonels secret. Far fresher than the other burgers on the meny as well as a beautifully subtle sweet mayo. My go to for any future visit.

After an incredible experience at the Annendale location I was excited to smash a delicious burger at Burgers by Josh’s new Wollongong location. Absolute disappointment. Pic shows a very sad Scorpio burger with a poorly crumbed small chicken piece. My last review I was amazed at the taste, size and texture of my added chicken piece to my gargantuan burger. This time not at all. On top of my Scorpio being a let down - my partner’s Jburger was closer to a local tuck shop hamburger. Patty over cooked, buns not to standard. All of this is coming of the back of an outstanding visit to the Annendale shop so yeah it’s a bit of a let down ;( Plus the put spicy seasoning on the chips with kids nuggets - like really? Never coming back to the Wollongong location - I’ll drive an hour the opposite direction and tantalise my taste buds at the original Burgers by Josh!

The Nashville fried chicken takes this burger to the next level. Could eat daily.

The new and improved Scorpio. Seems that jalapeños were swapped out for pickles, and the sauce is now a honey Mayo. The chicken is now a Nashville style fried chicken and I can immediately tell the difference. The chicken was beautifully succulent but had that perfect crunchy but melt in your mouth fried coating. Defo an improvement over an already solid chicken burger.

Decent burger, nothing really special. The chicken was a bit thin and the meat fell away from the batter which wasn't ideal. Not the best chicken burger in town

Not a fan of this burger even with the added bacon I got! besides the soft bun and sauce the rest was below par for me including the over seasoned chips. The chicken was like a schnitzel and not a good one too. 👎

The side of fries and chimmichuri was amazing !!
