Boys and girls, thirsty bird does fried chook real good. Huge slab of succulent chicken. The panko crumbs were bang on, quite crunchy and kewpie mayo with tomkatsu sauce is just the best combo of sauces ever. Not an overally crazy burger but everything on it is solid as and it's a mean size for $14 so yeah worth every cent plus it's near messina and imo fried chicken and ice cream go hand in hand. Please try this it'll make you happy.

Always wanted to scope this place out and finally got to last night and it didn't disappoint. You get a large slab of juicy chicken that was super tasty. Salsa and mayo was nice but no heat at all. For $15 you can go wrong with this thing.

Epic fried chicken, awesome seasonings, melty cheese, you get it, you can see the pics 🤤 Currently housebound after knee surgery 🛹 🤕 so got it delivered. Not sure what they to prep it for delivery but their delivery has always come in top condition, super impressed. Not my first stinger and won’t be my last, burg on everyone 🤙

🍔🍔 Thirsty Sanchez 🍔🍔 * Southern Fried Chicken * Jalapeńo Salsa * Tomato * Chipotle Mayonnaise First time visiting Thirsty Bird in a very long time, and my first visit to their Newtown store. 95% of the time I eat at Loaded when I'm in Newtown. On this day I wanted something different and bloody hell I was blown away. My last experience at Thirsty Bird was okay but nothing that left me keen to return in a hurry. After this visit I'm super excited to return asap. The chicken was outrageously good and extremely succulent. The crunch factor was awesome too. Add some sauce and a nice salad/salsa and you got a delicious chicken roll. I got some Belgian waffles with maple syrup on the side which were not too shabby as well.

It's safe to say none of the hype (was there any?) was matched by this burger. The chicken itself was decent but lacked any oomph in the coating whatsoever. Everything else can be best described as bland. Nothing stood out at all. It wasn't bad, just uninteresting. I'd consider going back to try The Stinger, which was better reviewed, but not in a rush.

Oh my word this was just amazing 👌👌👌 Maybe I got a freakishly on point urg or TB are really pumping out fried unicorns from Newtown now. There is literally nothing to fault here. Chicken cooked perfectly with amazing crunch, good spice as well. The bread is soft AF, there’s a “hot” sauce in there to compliment it and the coleslaw balances the whole package out.... we all know what American cheese tastes like. The whole combo balances amazingly. I feel like I ate two burgers, I am absurdly KOd right now 🍔🥊😴😴😴 Got this with mash/gravy (cause I’m watching my figure...) and a Dr Pepper for $20.... that’s an absolute bargain in old Sydney town. Rated 4.9 and will slam this bad boy to a 5 if my next visit is on par with this one, seriously impressed!!!

Had been on the beers all afternoon snd was craving some chicky chicky fry fry. Thirsty Bird do some of the best fried chicken in Sydney and have just opened in Newtown, so it was a no brainer. Have had it before at Potts Point, and was top quality, and this was no exception. Massive slab of thick fried chicken was crispy af. Wasn’t overly ’stinging‘ though which I was looking for but still seasoned so well. Slaw and a tangy sauce the perfect side show. Added bacon (for only $2), which they put a lot of on there, was crispy. The buns were super soft too. The sides are good here, and they’ve got beers here too (cheeky Grifter Pale goes alright). Will be back.
