Fried Chicken Burger

This is their Southern Fried Chicken Had to also try their chicken and they have different buns which is great if you wanna indulge in burgers but also be health conscience or just prefer different buns. Had this one with their low carb bun. Bun tasted great. The chicken was juicy and had a great crunchy coating. The sauce tasted like the Cali sauce on their beef burgers but with a very small amount of spice. Good thick cut pickles but the lettuce sort of ruined it. Would have been better to have had a crunchy slaw instead. Overall not too bad, their strength is definitely beef but with some tweaks this can be just as good.

At a Christian conference at Hoxton Park this week so a chance to grab another burger from Cali. First time trying their chicken burger, this one with hot BBQ sauce which didn't hit right...no spice kick, no tang, just meh. Cos lettuce also isn't my first pick for green on burgers...no green is preferred haha. Everything else is solid, delish fried chicken that tears off nicely, they pack everything in that 'in-and-out' style foil wrapping and it holds the burger in from start to finish with no mess :-)

I really liked it good crunch and the chicken was juicy coleslaw was alright nothing on the wow factor Sauce was on point with a little spicy Loved the packaging as most joints don’t have one

🍗Fried chicken  🥓Bacon 🧀Swiss cheese 🥗Coleslaw 🌶Chilli peri-peri mayo 💲 free courtesy of a $50 voucher from Thesydneyburgerblogger Tasted more like a schnitzel but still succulent, loved the crumbed coating.  Bacon was nice and crisp and the swiss cheese had a nice gooey texture that glued everything together.  The mayo gave a nice little kick, solid standard chicken burger.

So much goodness in the burger that is brought undone by my least favourite chicken coating/crumb yet. There is something weird about it that I cant describe in an articulate way. The sauce works so well with the slaw, slight heat in there and the chicken itself is nice. After reading another members recent review recommending cinammon spiced pineapple i thought this is the burger to try it on. Balanced the heawell at thstart but the cinammon became abit much very fast. Ultimately held this back from a 4.

The tasty fried chicken, bacon and Swiss cheese are always delicious together which compliment the coleslaw and chilli peri peri sauce! If you want 100% quality in all their burgers then this place is where it’s at! So hurry up and get down to @caliburgers.sydney and devour a burger or two! You won’t be disappointed!

Second burger for the Thursday burger hunt! special_sauce is right chicken schnitty does not a Fried chicken burger make. Don’t get me wrong it was an ok schnitty. Crunchy Panko coating around a well cooked breast pattie. But when I see fried chicken on the menu I start think’n Southern Fried chicken! My mind kicks in and brings forth pictures of massive chucks of southern fried chicken. You wait.... an schnitty shows up. Southern Fried’s thin sister with a good personality. It’s fun and all but it ain’t Southern! Burg was solid good flavors peri peri was hot. Won’t do this again unless Southern’s swaps in!😍
