Burgfinger

Not the best Mary's Burger I've ever had... The bacon was barely worth 50 cents let alone $4 but watch a gonna do? The patties here were way thicker than Newtown and overcooked which is massively disappointing. Might stick to the original!

There were several massive calamari rings on this burger and they were really fresh. Given this burger was only about ten bucks and considering how much you pay for individual calamari rings at the beach, this was great value. However, there wasn't much else to it and it's really only a burger because it's got a dead organism in a bun with sauce.

I'm not a massive of fan of plain old fish and chips and this was just plain old fish and bun. If that's your thing, this might've hit the spot and the fish was clearly nice and fresh but I found it pretty boring. This was the jumbo and it had egg and the works on it as well so it was good value considering the volume of stuff on it.

🐮Beef patty 🧀American cheese 🥓Maple glazed bacon 🥒McClure's pickles 🍅Tomato 🥬Lettuce 💧Secret sauce As with the Royale with Cheese from Kahuna, the beef was dry and the secret sauce was absent in all but colour. The extra few dollars for pickles and bacon made a big difference though. The sweetness from the maple and the acidity of the pickles contributed some substance to an otherwise unremarkable burger.

🐮Beef patty 🧀American cheese ⚪Diced onion 🍅Tomato 🥬Lettuce 💧Secret sauce Unfortunately, this burger did not build on the potential I thought Kahuna might deliver when I first tried them. The beef was overcooked and there was not nearly enough sauce, I could barely taste it, so the whole thing was dry and boring.

🐥Fried chicken 🧀Swiss cheese 💦Truffle aioli I love the truffle aioli at Loaded and Swiss cheese goes with it so well. This is the same as what I had yesterday but with chicken instead of beef. I prefer the beef with this combination of flavours but this was still great.

It was a bigger burger than expected with a decent amount of grilled chicken breast on it. Nice and fresh and not nearly as salad-heavy as the ingredients suggest (I don't think there were any sprouts or alfalfa, thankfully). Good cheese melt, plenty of pickles to liven it up, no stingeing on the avo and the aioli was simple but effective.

I was starving and this big, beautiful burger was just what I needed. Simple, well-executed and it still looked great when it was delivered. The beef patties were juicy as and tasted amazing, the cheese melt was perfect and the aioli and bbq sauce lubed it all up with a touch of sweetness. The bacon was super crispy, always a bonus, and the salad bits kept a fresh edge amongst the cow.
