Give new things a go my mum used to say. So I did... Haggis?!? can’t kill you I guess. I so wanted to like this, it looked good. Sounded good, apart from the new thing I was going to try. To tell you the truth they had me at Macallan. The scorched egg haggis was really different the egg was a preformed disc of yellow cooked egg which had been squished inside a haggis pattie which was then crumbed and deep fried. It wasn’t that strange as the bits were minced to a consistency of sauauge meat. The neeps and tatties, on mine were cold and when you take the first bite into your freshly cooked burger it’s not what you expect and did not help the experience. I was also missing the onion rings??? On top of all that the bun didn’t hold up and had a double blow out top and bottom. The sauce? The thing that got me to buy the thing in the first place was scarce and did little to cover the taste of offal. It was also overrun by cold mash. The saving grace Bacon was good!
